WiM + Sigma CamFab is a collaboration between Women in Media and our friends at Sigma Cine, We are looking for 7-10 cinematographers to test the updated fp camera and select L-mount lenses. The Sigma fp is the world’s smallest and lightest 4k, full frame Camera.

Chosen Participants will be invited to an orientation and virtual round table event. They will have 2 weeks of independent shooting & testing during which they will be able to share thoughts and questions with Sigma Staff and Technicians. The testing will culminate in a round table discussion to share findings, test footage, and give feedback directly to the manufacturer.

This case-study will take place from July 27 – August 15, 2020. Only Women In Media members will be considered. Chosen Participants must be available for the following dates via Zoom call:

Orientation: Monday, July 27 @ 12:00 pm/noon PDT
Playback Round Table Discussion: Saturday, August 15 @ 12:00pm/noon PDT

Potential candidates will be vetted and selected by Sigma. Selected Participants will be compensated $500 for their time. To be considered as a Participant, fill out the form at the bottom of this page by July 20, 2020 (11:59 PM PST).

WiM + Sigma CamFab Events – Save The Dates!

Join us at one or both events to expand your knowledge about the Sigma fp camera and lenses. The events will be hosted by Sigma’s Aubrey Duclos and Brand Ambassador, DP & WiM Member, Elle Schneider.

Virtual Orientation

Monday, July 27 @ 12:00 pm/noon PDT

The Chosen Participants will have the fp camera and lenses in their possession at this point. Sigma representatives will orient Participants with the fp camera, settings, and answer any questions before they begin test shooting. This event will be open to the public, and all are invited to hear more about the products.

Ticketed attendees will receive the link via email 24 hours prior to the event. 

Virtual Playback Round Table Discussion

Saturday, August 15 @ 12:00pm/noon PDT

After two weeks of test shooting with the fp and lenses, our Chosen Participants and Sigma Reps will gather to discuss their experiences and screen clips. This event will be open to the public, and all are invited to learn from our camera tests.

Ticketed attendees will receive the link via email 24 hours prior to the event.
