Women In Media was at Cine Gear in full force! We had so many friends, both new and those that we’ve known for ages come by our our WiMLounge booth where they picked up hard copies of the printed program (online version below). Our community cheered the Altitude Awards participants at a special ceremony, and cried tears of pride as Susan Lewis received her ICON Award from long time entertainment industry family, Juliane Grosso and Vika Safragina. The ICON + Altitude Awards

We celebrated Cinematographers, Camera Operators, and Gaffers who submitted reels, artist statements, and CrewList profiles in order to compete for prizes.

There were 10 semifinalists, 4 finalists, and 1 emerging filmmaker. All of whom collected prizes as they joined our special presenters on stage. Many thanks to the judges, presenters, vendor partners, and volunteers who made this event possible.

There was an invitation-only luncheon after the awards at the Smoke House. Thanks to Videndum for their sponsorship.

Icon Award Recipient Susan Lewis

Women in Media is proud to announce this year’s recipient of its annual ICON Award. For landmark achievement in public relations, communications and community building, WiM is honored to award Susan Lewis this year’s highest distinction. 

Susan Lewis has tirelessly served the cinema and entertainment community for four decades — smoothing the launch and adoption of countless innovative technologies. Her clients have consistently represented industry leaders including Cinema Products, Steadicam, Litepanels, Zeiss, Schneider, Matthews, Tiffen, SmallHD, Teradek, and dozens more.
