Virtual Speed Networking

Women in Media is hosting virtual speed networking with the goal of inviting creative crew members to participate in the CAMERAderie LAB. Above and below the line crew in all positions will have the opportunity to network and be considered for participation in the program.  CAMERAderie teams are currently building their crews to participate in the Lab and filming in August 2021.  Non members are welcome to come to this event to learn more about the program and meet our community.

ABOUT THE CAMERAderie LAB

The CAMERAderie Lab is an ecosystem designed to elevate above and below the line women’s abilities to rise in the entertainment industry.  Chosen participants gain practical training as they collaborate on high production value short films. The Lab includes complimentary admission to a number of educational and networking events that are designed to increase marketable skills, abilities, and thought leadership. The program takes place via Zoom, and on soundstage and location in Los Angeles.  Many of our 2019 alumnae continue to reap the rewards through mentorship, connections, and gear awards (cameras, lights, sound equipment, and more!).  You must be a Women In Media member to participate.

CAMERAderie Education

There will be a virtual 2-day learning convention about distribution/film festivals and stand alone events such as the recent Catherine Hardwicke Master Class. There will be hands-on classes lead by sponsors such as Arri, as well as grip, electric, and set construction trainings hosted by MBS Stages (Television City, Raleigh Studios, Manhattan Beach Stages, etc.). Throughout the lab there are guided process meetings with industry professionals and opportunities to network for future hiring. In or around August, we will go into production on the green lit short films.
