Pitch Yourself! Online Workshop

Jul 9 | 5:00 pm 7:00 pm PDT

Women In Media hosted a virtual workshop with two time Emmy Award-Winning, WiM Advisory Board Member Mary Lou Belli. This highly interactive and intimate workshop focused on pitching and interviewing for directing or writing jobs. This was not a networking event, but a seminar that will gave participants the basics of taking a meeting to present your greatest asset – YOU!

Some participants prepared an elevator pitch under 2 minutes in length, shared pitches for feedback, and participated in mock interviews. It was a safe and supportive space to practice interview skills with trusted industry experts and fellow WIM members.

5:00-5:30 pm: Welcome & Introduction, workshop
5:30–6:45 pm: Facilitated Breakout Groups
6:45 pm: event wrap up

Members moved into breakout groups led by a mentor. Each member shared their elevator pitch, and participated in mock interviews with the mentor.
