Breaking Into Entertainment Panel

This online event was made possible by Kingsborough Community College, Department of Communications and Performing Arts, and Women in Media.
This panel explored early entry into the entertainment industry and the best way to make yourself the most valuable player once you get the job. The industry is changing, so being prepared and competitive is paramount. Our seasoned professionals from different departments were able to answer questions to give participants a leg up.
Panelists highlighted the importance of networking, building connections, and gaining experience through internships or entry-level positions. Also addressed, was the evolving landscape of the entertainment industry, including emerging technologies, shifting union realities, and the importance of adapting to change, and embracing innovation.
Our panelists offered insights into how aspiring professionals can differentiate themselves and demonstrate their value to employers and department heads. They spoke in detail about reliability, professionalism, creativity, and adaptability being valuable assets to any team or project.
