Heads up, Below the Line Crew – every department from prep to production to post! Women in Media is offering an opportunity for Virtual Below The Line Networking to develop the relationships necessary for successful productions. Below the Line attendees will have the opportunity to network with the 2020/21 CAMERAderie: Act One Finalists & Semi-Finalists and their producers who are specifically looking to build their crews for their shorts. Oh and it’s Tema’s birthday week, so a celebration will be had!

CAMERAderie Lab Participation

We will be speed dating for crew, with an eye towards who will be invited to participate in the CAMERAderie LAB.  Participation includes comp admission to two day learning conventions about post/workflow, pre production, and distribution/film festivals, and when it’s safe to do so, hands on learning and film production on our finalist’s shorts. Crew members may receive mentoring.

The aim of the program is to forward the careers of women in every department by going through a process of working on high production value projects with support. Space is limited, so RSVP pronto!

Put Your Best Foot Forward

Be prepared to slate your name, what your crew position is, and a little bit about your professional background.  Brevity is wit, so please keep it to 40 seconds or less.

Please update your #WiMCrewList profile and make sure that it’s looking spiffy. We will be using the #WiMCrewList to vet attendees. Your #WiMCrewList profile will be listed on a contact sheet that will be shared with everyone who attends this event. We recommend that you invite folks that you meet at this event to virtual coffee soon afterward. The objective is to make as many new friends and colleagues as possible.

This event will be virtual. Attendees should plan on remaining for the entire 2 1/2 hour event.

RSVP & Ticketing

We will send out the official invite for you to RSVP, one week prior to the event. A link to the event will be sent out to attendees 24 hours and again 2 hours prior to the event.

Virtual Below The Line Networking is strictly for Women In Media department heads and crew – from key creatives to assistants. Finalists and Semi-finalists should INVITE women in the crew who they are interested in working with. The goal is to connect people who will have harmonious, creative, and supportive relationships in every department as we move them through the CAMERAderie filmmaking experience and education. We do not guarantee a match. However, we hope that you find future collaborators!
