An unforgettable evening was had by all as Women in Media celebrated Pride with our LGBTQ+ family! Out & Proudly WiM honored our exceptional LGBTQIA+ members as they shared their leadership and experiences. There was networking, thought-provoking discussions, and relationship-building.

Special guest ~ Abbey White (They/Them) News writer from The Hollywood Reporter

Abbey is an associate editor and news reporter for The Hollywood Reporter’s digital team, where they cover breaking news, events, film, TV, awards, theater, animation, children’s & family, inclusion and more. A Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY alum, their work has appeared in Billboard, Food & Wine, Entertainment Weekly, Vox, Insider, Gothamist, USA TODAY Network, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Paste Magazine and 5280 Magazine. Abbey has been recognized as a 2022 Curve Emerging Journalist, ASME Awards finalist, National A&E Journalism Awards winner and GLAAD Media Award nominee, among other honors.

The #ProudlyWiM Initiative is an informal group of the Women In Media LGBTQ+ family to get together for coffee, lunch, and other industry events.
