The Post Production Roadmap

Christine Carr

Director of Business Development, Light Iron Los Angeles

Whether working in features, series, or short-form content, filmmakers need to know their project’s intended destination before embarking on their creative journey. Theatrical exhibition, film festivals, traditional cable, and OTT streaming—in both HDR and SDR—all come with their own requirements, and being aware of them from the outset will lead to the most informed artistic and technical decisions along the way. Join Light Iron director of business development Christine Carr for this guided tour of modern post-production best practices, including the latest workflows and remote capabilities that have emerged in response to the needs of the past year.

11:45 AM -12:15 PM PST

DIT: Successful Prep for Post

Kerry Michelle O’Brien, Post Production Supervisor, DIT Lupe, One Day in September, Fish Never Sleep

Preparing and organizing in pre-production is imperative to having a smooth pipeline through editorial, VFX, sound and color. The collaboration between DIT, Cinematographer, and Post Production Supervisor ensures that your raw footage is stored, backed up and optimally distributed for the creative editing process and then back to full resolution for deliverables to festivals, streaming, movie theater, or even your phone.

Kerry Michelle breaks the steps and pipeline down for you, demystifying just what you need for a successful, and relatively headache-free production.
