Women In Media and Greenlight Women hosted this beginner’s social media workshop.  Women In Media executive director, Tema Staig takes you through an easy-to-follow, hands-on workshop to get you on your way towards building followers and using Instagram to promote yourself and your work. 

Instagram is a great way to let the world know about your film or t.v. project.  It’s free to use, and with creativity, sweat equity, and a good eye, you can create successful campaigns that will get your projects noticed.

Basics instructions for opening an account will be sent a few days in advance of the event so that you may check out the app before class.  The good news is that it’s the internet – you can’t break it!  The Zoom link will be sent the night before as well as the day of the event.

About the instructor

Tema Staig started the Women In Media social media accounts out of a need for social change.  By reaching thousands of people every month on social media, she has effectively been able to help spread the idea of parity and inclusion behind the scenes in the entertainment industry on a wider scale.  She has built the @WomenNMedia Twitter account to 77.8K followers, the Instagram account to 16.7K followers, and the Private Facebook account to over 7K active members.
