Women In Media and The Women In The Arts and Media Coalition got together for an inter-organizational Holiday cocktail soiree with a higher purpose – the pairing of two powerful organizations for a night of noshing and networking. Women and gender non conforming people working behind the scenes as well as front of camera talent came out in force. Light bites were served at this festive soiree.

Each person did a short introduction where they slated their name, what they do professionally, and any wants, needs, or offers. Folks who opted in to the contact sheet used it as a resource for meeting up with folks they connected with at the event, expanding their social and professional networks. Folks had the opportunity to add their CrewList profiles.

Art Show

There was a special art show of paintings of early pioneering female filmmakers by TL Duryea. TL is an American Artist, Activist and the Founder of Sheroes, celebrating the achievements of notable women. Starting with a series of quick oil portraits of women in the public eye, Duryea created a line of products to embolden women to take up more space by wearing their support of these inspiring women.
