Robyn recently made her triumphant return to filmmaking as the Production Designer of 2021 CAMERAderie finalist, MOON. After a successful career in design for film and theater, for the last 20 years, she has been a home schooling parent, writer, and textile artist. Her most recent book, "Dervish Dust: The Life and Words of James Coburn", the authorized biography of the Oscar (R) winning actor, published by Potomac Books in December 2021 is available now. Go to www.DervishDust.com for a great discount code. Her upcoming middle grade contemporary fantasy, MERMAID SUMMER, will be released by IFWG Publishing in Fall 2026. Meanwhile her action-romance feature screenplay is in development at That's Hollywood.
When not working on a selection of different fiction and non-fiction writing projects, Robyn writes resumes for people in entertainment and is a winning grant writer and consultant. She has won grants totally around $200K in the last three years for WiM and other indie projects including her own business. Her books in the "Work in Production" series are available on Amazon. Robyn also teaches Theater Production to AOS students at the Lee Strasberg Institute of Theatre and Film in West Hollywood. In this role she designed the first year theater production at the Marilyn Monroe Stage, "The Time of Your Life".
As a textile artist, Robyn recently installed her first commissioned public art project, "Spinning Petals", at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden where it delighted visitors and children for 18 months.
Robyn lives in Los Angeles with her husband, a production sound mixer and retired college professor, their daughter Jayn (also art department), and their rescue kitty.
