J Gittings is a Los Angeles based cinematographer with a love for collaborating on narrative, commercial and documentary work. Her recent short film, Josiah, premiered at the Palm Springs Shortfest and won Best of Fest for the St. Louis International Film Festival. Her feature, Simple Being, won the Van Gogh Award for Excellence in Cinematography at the Amsterdam Film Festival. She was also one of the cinematographers on the groundbreaking documentary Half the Picture, which premiered at Sundance in 2018. J has helped to create films and content appearing on HBO, CNN, ESPN, Peacock, Cosmopolitan, HGTV, Yahoo, Fandango, DUST and College Humor. J received an MFA from the school of Theatre, Film & Television at UCLA.
