Eythan Maidhof is a non-binary cinematographer from Long Island, New York. They approach their work with the belief that the camera has no gender, only the point of view assigned to it.
Their work spans narrative features and documentaries, including A New York Christmas Wedding (Netflix/Marvista), cited by The New York Times as a must-see for the 2020 holiday season; Invisible: Gay Women in Southern Music (Audience Award, NewFest and Frameline45); and Allen Anders: Live at the Comedy Castle (SXSW 2018). Their short Tacocunr premiered at the 2025 Slamdance Film Festival, and Class Clown (ECA Honoree 2025) is currently in festival circulation.
A graduate of the American Film Institute, Eythan is a member of IATSE Local 600, BAFTA Connect, and the International Collective of Female Cinematographers. They were selected for the ASC Vision Mentorship and the Panavision New Filmmaker Program, and are represented worldwide by Gersh.
