Emma Selinski is an award-winning, independent, genre filmmaker originally from Adelaide, Australia. She has more than 20 years of experience as a Producer, Writer and Director in radio, theatre, television, and film. She is passionate about telling science fiction stories with a magical twist.

Emma began her professional creative career in London. Most notably she worked as an actor, writer and Assistant Director at the Royal Court Theatre and the BBC. She was nominated for the Sony and Prix d' Europe Awards for 'Something to Declare’, a collaborative radio play she wrote and performed in for BBC Radio 4.

Emma then flew to Chicago, USA, to audition for the critically acclaimed Steppenwolf Theatre Company. She was accepted into the professional actor training program, the School at Steppenwolf, and worked with some of the finest actors, writers and directors in the world.

Inspired by her experiences at Steppenwolf, she then founded Bread Crumbs Theatre Company in Sydney, Australia. She produced, directed and performed in two highly successful productions, ‘Mud in your Eye: The Dorothy Parker Story’ and ‘Crumbs on the Radio’.

Emma founded Sunflower Sings Films in 2011. Her first two films, 'Sunflower Sings' (2016) and 'Virtually Happy' (2020) were officially selected and won multiple awards at over 25 international film festivals. Most notably, 'Virtually Happy' won Best Sci-Fi Film at the 2021 Montreal Independent Film Festival.

Emma has been lucky enough to work full time as the Senior Virtual Production Coordinator at Eyeline Studios – Powered by Netflix for the past few years. She has worked on such high profile projects as; 'Avatar - the Last Airbender', ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’, ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’, ‘One Piece’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Black Adam’, ‘The Gray Man’, ‘The Batman’, and several award-winning commercials.

Her next two original films, 'Greedy for Life' and 'The Door to the Universe' are in pre-production.

Emma now works as a Senior Virtual Production Coordinator for Eyeline Studios - Powered by Netflix.
