Annette is an award-winning writer, producer, and director drawn to provocative, character-driven stories that explore desire, tension, and shifting power dynamics; she wrote, produced, and directed the underground cult indie feature film "The Secret Life of Sarah Sheldon," a project that established her focus on complex characters and emotionally charged storytelling.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Wayne State University and began her career producing and editing award-winning documentaries, including projects supporting Leader Dogs for the Blind and raising awareness about the dangers of exotic animal domestication, before going on to work across the industry for over 25 years in roles such as Production Coordinator at Cartoon Network and Line Producer/Assistant Editor on the Saturn Award–winning documentary "Never Sleep Again."

She later spent several years at Warner Bros. Discovery, collaborating across multiple departments including the Data Intelligence Team and advancing into a Project Manager role leading innovative, tech-driven initiatives, while also producing and editing a webisode for Friends of the Los Angeles River that increased participation in their annual clean-up event.

Currently working as a freelance writer, producer, and editor, Annette is expanding her hands-on production experience through Local 80 grip training while preparing to produce two independent horror films and developing a vertical thriller series, with a deep appreciation for micro-dramas and their ability to deliver compelling, addictive storytelling in a short-form format.
