Maine Media College Cinematography Intensive
Natalie Armenta is a queer Mexican American cinematographer from Southeast Los Angeles, where she cultivated an interest in capturing her culture within the contexts of surrealism, spirituality and expressionism. A graduate of Inner-City Filmmakers and Santa Monica College, Natalie has cultivated a dynamic foundation in film through her time at organizations such as Film Independent, Omelet, and Heyday Films, gaining expertise in both development and production.
In 2017,Natalie received a full grant to attend the Maine Media Workshops Cinematography Intensive, sponsored by CAA and ICF. She was also selected for Panavision Hollywood’s exclusive two-year program, where she gained insight on optics and cinema cameras, strengthening her technical abilities and in turn creating a pathway into the camera department, graduating in 2022.
Now launching her career, she works as an assistant camera and camera operator, continuously expanding her passion for capturing compelling visuals. With a commitment to storytelling and a love for the art of cinematography, Natalie is dedicated to bringing authenticity and emotional depth to every frame she shoots.
