Monique Hazeur is a Brooklyn-based writer, director, and producer originally from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. She is currently a semi-finalist for the 2019 Sundance Episodic Lab and was also a semi-finalist for the 2016 Sundance/YouTube New Voices Lab. Her short script, Black Coffee and Beignets, was featured at NYWIFT's New Works Lab 2017 Showcase. Her documentary Back UP! concrete diaries explores street harassment of women and is co-produced with Sweet Potato Pie Productions. Monique is in development on a documentary about Black Catholics in the United States and on a short film that explores the intersection of black womanhood, pleasure, and food.
