Michelle Marrion is a NY-based filmmaker who studied photography and cinematography at Howard University in Washington, DC. After interning with cinematographer Malik Sayeed, she began shooting 2nd unit for music video directors like Little X and Diane Martel and collaborating on many projects with cinematographer Bradford Young, ASC. She went on to immerse herself in the documentary world to follow her passion for humanitarian causes and shot dozens of short and long-form documentaries for international humanitarian organizations.

She was 2nd unit and B camera operator on the 2022 Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winner, "Nanny", a camera operator on the Emmy and Peabody award-winning Netflix series "When They See Us" directed by Ava DuVernay, and has worked with clients such as Disney, Google, Kanye West, Home Depot, UNICEF and Mastercard.

She's interested in how composition, color, and light serve the nuanced needs of each project, and how art serves as a transformative portal for awareness and examination of the human experience.
