Direction, Production, Writer
Martha started as a journalist (NBC News, ABC News) but the lure of making up her own stories was too hard to resist. She crossed over to narrative film and television and has never looked back.

Martha has always considered herself a storyteller, whether as a journalist or a narrative director/writer, and her work has been recognized with awards and critical recognition. She has worked in such far-flung places as Pakistan, Cambodia, Mozambique, Mexico and Texas, and jokes that she’s had guns pointed at her in nine different languages!
Her news background led to a string of film opportunities, including UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL, VOLCANO, DEEP IMPACT, ENEMY OF THE STATE, THE NEGOTIATOR, an HBO film, as well as a John Wells NBC pilot. Her AFI Directing Workshop for Women short, GLORY GIRL qualified for Oscar consideration.
She dabbled in visual effects directing a 3D documentary on the origins of the universe, then did an about face directing a successful short on her iPhone.
She enjoys writing as well as directing and partnered with Peter Tortorici on a series for basic cable. She continues to ‘make stuff up’ for a variety of clients.
