Jen has been running around with a camera since the age of twelve. A photography merit badge in Girl Scouts sparked her love of film and light, which grew to include filmmaking and led her to study cinematography at Columbia College Chicago. Since graduating with a B.A. in film, she has been shooting features, short films, and music videos, in addition to her documentary work. Her narratives have screened at film festivals worldwide and include multiple award winning films at SXSW. Jen is an active member of the Society of Camera Operators, and The International Cinematographers Guild Local 600. She was selected as a mentee in the inaugural ASC Vision Committee Mentorship program, paired with Shelley Johnson, ASC, and is currently in a mentorship with Christopher Norr through the Local 600 mentorship program. Jen is a two-time finalist in the Altitude Awards for Women In Media and is a member of the International Collective of Female Cinematographers. After working out of her hometown of Austin, Texas for fifteen years, Jen now splits her time between Texas and Los Angeles. When she’s not working, she can usually be found at a Pearl Jam concert. With a camera, of course.
