Haley Salcido-Gronski is an LA-based Cinematographer with a passion for narratives that uplift marginalized voices. At the core of her professional endeavors is the desire to create a genuine visual language for every project she gets her hands on.

Haley holds a BFA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television. As an undergraduate student, Haley concentrated on Cinematography by working as the Director of Photography on a variety of student projects. She most notably shot Memoria (2023) and The Free Bleed (2023). She also gained extensive experience on the rental house side of the industry by working as an intern at Bokeh Rentals and as a technician at LMU’s camera services department. In these roles, Haley had the opportunity to prepare equipment orders, assist with technical troubleshooting, and facilitate student-led camera workshops.

Haley kickstarted her professional career by working as a 2nd Assistant Camera on several short films, music videos, and unscripted projects. She most notably worked on a Paramount-Sponsored Aidswalk Campaign Video (2020), a commercial for Optum Clinic (2021), a YouTube Creator Masterclass with Kraig Adams (2022), and a commercial for Epidemic Sound (2022). Haley loves data logging, keeping inventory of camera gear, and providing a strong support system for the camera department.

Though Haley primarily works within the camera department, she also has experience working as a gaffer, best electric, and key grip. Her earliest experience was working as a dolly grip on AFI student sets in 2020. Since then, she has most notably gaffed a commercial for ARealm (2023) and Key Gripped the LGBTQ+ short film Cuddles (2023).
