Giulia Governo is a multifaceted Italian cinematographer/camera operator. Who’s worked successfully on feature, short and documentary film.

Her work includes “Broken Angels” (Best Movie, Los Angeles CineFest), the avant-garde “Zelma’s Unfinished Business” (Best Avantgarde Short, Zedfest Film Festival) and “Plenum” (Best Short nominee, Terror Film Festival). Most recently worked with Oscar winner Martin Conn on his untitled project and Emmy nominee Victoria Larimore on “Grey”.

Giulia studied photography at the well-known European Institute of Design and honed her natural cinematic talents at UCLA Extension and New York Film Academy. She also studied Steadicam with its inventor, 3-time Academy Award winner, Garrett Brown.

From Europe to Australia, the Sahara desert to Banff, Petra to the Grand Canyon she has traveled the world studying light, regional use of color and observing cultural differences and communality. This unique perspective that have enables her to effectively capture beauty, struggle and unique stories.
