Award-Winning Producer Cristina Malavenda won a Daytime Emmy Award for her show, WONDER WOMEN, and is Executive Producer of the Oscar Shortlisted Short Documentary, THE OTHER SIDE OF HOME.

Cristina currently produces, writes, directs and edits for Prohibition Films, a production company that delivers feature films, television series, documentaries, and commercials from conception to delivery. Prior to working at Prohibition Films, Cristina was Head of Production at Feeln, Hallmark’s instant streaming company, where she produced multiple series and feature length films. 

Early on in her career, Cristina reviewed proposals for the Sundance documentary fund. Since then, her projects have screened at Sundance and on HBO. She has written, directed, produced and edited over thirty films in a variety of genres, including live action, documentary, motion graphic and animation.

She received her BA in Communication Studies from Vanderbilt University and her MFA in Film and Television Production at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.
