She's developed work for companies like Bad Robot, Escape Artists and AMC, and won prizes like Amazon Studios’ Best Screenplay Award, Screencraft’s Cinematic Short Story Competition Grand Prize, and DreamAgo’s Pen & Pellicule Writing Fellowship. Her publications include literary magazines (Sycamore Review, Colorado Review, The Drum) and anthologies (Women of Horror, Volume 3, Turning Points Anthology). She recently co-wrote a well-reviewed episode of Creepshow on AMC’s Shudder Network.

Barrington's production experience encompasses theatre, large-scale events, commercials and film. Her most recent producing work is in the event production space for clients like Mattel and Velocity XD.

Other jobs Barrington has done over the years include gift-wrapper, piano accompanist, stage manager, college screenwriting instructor and administrative assistant. Originally from the Midwest, she studied massage at a temple in Thailand, produced shows with "Vaca Lula" the dancing cow in Costa Rica, and wrote a food guide for Western Australia before settling down in Los Angeles, where she's a meditator, yoga fan and 3-time cancer survivor.
